The settings
Déjà vu is supposed to feel uncanny. The data says it is mostly domestic: 70% at home in SF, 40% at my desk — and 18 of 40 arrived mid-game.
Most déjà vus happen while playing games. League of Legends alone: 13 moments — the most déjà-vu-inducing activity known to this dataset.
The people
Twenty-four of the forty struck while alone — déjà vu mostly keeps its own company. These are the fourteen people who were there, or on the call, for the other sixteen.
Nick, four times — every one of them mid-game. Trevor and Ryan only ever appear together. All three of Annabell's are from 2026.
The exceptions
Twelve moments escaped San Francisco. Arcs leap farther for farther places — and two of them land on the exact same Austrian hotel, one calendar year apart.
